Member responsibilities

• Appointing and removing trustees: 

  Members have the power to appoint trustees and can remove them if they are not fulfilling their duties. 
• Amending articles of association: 

  They must approve any changes to the trust's articles of association, which are the legal documents that outline the trust's governance and operating structure. 
• Holding the board accountable: 

  Members are responsible for ensuring the trust is achieving its charitable goals, spending public money wisely, and is governed effectively. 
• Oversight and information: 

  They must stay informed of the trust's performance by receiving reports and audited accounts from the board of trustees. 
• Safeguarding the trust's purpose: 

  They act as the "last line of defence" to ensure the trust's integrity and its charitable mission are upheld.
