Lighthouse Got Talent

On Wednesday 28th January 2026 we had the third Lighthouse Talent Show.

The evening was  jam packed with 18 amazing including dancers, singers, gymnasts and comedians.

Each academy has held their own auditions and talent show  to either the children, parents and carers or both and the top 2 acts were voted for to go through to the Lighthouse Got Talent Finals.

On the evening there was a judging panel including  ‘Mr Hicken, Mrs Hunt and Mrs Austin’ who  scored each act out of ten and then the three scores were added together to present the 1st and 2nd place trophies.

It was a truly spectacular night with so much talent from all of the 9 Trust academies.

The winners were the Beacon with a group of pupils singing and dancing to Abba

2nd place was Meadow View with a group performing 'It's a hard knock life' from Annie

Congratulations to the winners and all the children who took part in the Talent show.

Christmas Card Competition 2025

 The children from all 9 academies took part in designing a Christmas Card in October 2025. The Trust Central Team picked 1 winner per academy and an overall winner for the trust. Each winner will receive their design to send to their friends and family.

Quiz Show Madness

On Wednesday 12th November 2025 at 10am-12.30pm we held a 'Quiz Show Madness' event at Bescot Stadium for pupils in Year 3- Year 6. 

8 academies too part in this event.

The 4 rounds included:

Round 1- Catch Phrase

Round 2- Who wants to be a Millionaire?

Round 3- Count down

Round 4- Family Fortunes

This event was a real success with 96 children representing their academy and over 200+ parents, family members and staff watching in the audience.

First place went to Beacon Academy

Second Place went to Lindens Academy

Joint Third place went to Barcroft Academy, Castlefort Academy and  Moorcroft Wood Academy
